FAQ: How to Skip a Share of Your CSA

We want our produce subscriptions to accommodate your lives. That’s why we offer them in a flexible, pay-as-you-go format that allows you to skip a bag or a box if you’re going to be out of town, or for when life gets a little hectic and budgets are tight. At the start of the season, we sent out instructions — but anyone who joined later might not have seen or gotten the info. So, here are all the details in an easy-to-bookmark blog post!

To Skip/Cancel a Drop Off

For our summer Farmer’s Choice bags, we require notice of cancellation by 5PM on the Wednesday before that week's bag goes out, either through Barn2Door or via email. In Barn2Door, you can go in and select all of the weeks you want to skip. Doing it this way makes sure your credit card isn't charged for any skipped weeks, and it makes our lives easier too. While emailing cancellations is fine too, it does requires us to manually refund payment and cancel your order. If you know in advance when you want to skip, it's very helpful for us if you can log into Barn2Door and skip weeks yourself. Here’s how.

  1. Log in to Barn2Door.

  2. Click the arrow in the top right corner, next to the text that reads "Hi, [YOUR NAME]", and select "Orders" from the drop-down menu.

  3. Find the order that corresponds with the Summer Mini-Bags, and click the Order Number. If you've ordered multiple things from us (thank you!), it might be tricky to find. Look for one with a $20.00 charge.

  4. Just below the banner near the top of the page, click "Manage Subscription".

  5. You will then be able to remove individual dates by clicking the "Skip Subscription" button on the right of each date. Please note that you can't undo it, so make sure you get the right date before you confirm!
